1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Sayzen, you confirm that you can enter into a binding agreement and accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you use Sayzen on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The Sayzen service
Sayzen provides tools intended to support word discovery and language learning, such as pronunciation audio, phonetic spellings, definitions, example usage, favorites, and search history. Features may vary by platform, region, account type, or subscription.
We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material changes that negatively affect paid features.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and should notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be legally permitted to use the service in your location. If you are below the age at which you may independently consent to online services, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Some features may require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing frequency, trial terms, and included features will be shown before purchase. Payments may be processed by an app store or an authorized third-party payment provider, whose terms also apply.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel an app-store subscription through the applicable store account. Refunds are handled according to applicable law and the policies of the payment provider used for the purchase.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Sayzen for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes.
- Interfere with the service, bypass access controls, or probe its systems for vulnerabilities.
- Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use automated means to access the service in a way that creates unreasonable load or disrupts other users.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
6. Content and intellectual property
Sayzen and its design, software, branding, and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for its intended purpose.
Definitions, pronunciations, examples, and other reference material may come from third-party sources and remain subject to their respective rights and licenses. You may not remove ownership notices or use service content to build a competing dataset or product.
7. Educational use and disclaimers
Sayzen is an educational aid. Pronunciation can vary by accent, dialect, region, and context, and language data may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. You should not rely on Sayzen as the sole authority for professional, academic, legal, medical, or other high-stakes decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sayzen and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Sayzen at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or harm, fail to pay applicable fees, or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service or applicable law changes. The effective date above will be revised when updates are published. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the service or another appropriate channel.
